Adding the SoftStart to your air conditioner is going to allow for a much quieter start-up. Because the compressor inside the air conditioner draws so much power in order to get the air conditioner started, it becomes kind of loud. Maybe you're sleeping in the middle of the night, air conditioner kicks on. more

Hi there Bighorn owners. Today on your 2014 Heartland Bighorn, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Kodiak's Disc Brake Conversion kit. And this is what our brakes look like when they're installed. This is a replacement of your existing drum brake assembly. And it's going to provide you with the disc rotor as well as new hubs. They're going to be the same pattern that our trailer had before, which is 8 on 6.5, and we're going to have 9/16" studs, just like our old ones. more

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit Installation - 2014 Heartland RV Bighorn Fifth Wheel K2HR89D- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Heartland Bighorn, we're gonna be installing Kodiak's disc brake kit. Part number K2HR89D. Your disc brake set up does not include bearings or grease seals. You can pick up bearings here at etrailer.com with part number 02475-02475. And part number 25580-25580 for the inner bearing. And grease seals to seal it all up with part number RG06-070.These disc brakes can be used as a replacement or like we're using them today, to convert from electric to electric over hydraulic brakes.The brackets fit 8,000 pound Dexter axles and 16 inch and larger wheels.The 13 inch rotor features an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.We've already got our passenger side installed. more

HydraStar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit Installation - 2014 Heartland RV Bighorn Fifth Wheel- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Heartland Bighorn, we're going to be installing HydraStar's hydraulic brake line kit for tandem axles. Part number HS496-252. These lines can be used as a replacement for damaged lines or like we are using them today. To convert from electric to electric over hydraulic brakes.Now on our fifth wheel here, we've mounted our brake actuator here inside our front compartment. Our brake line attaches to the back side. Went ahead and drilled a hole in the bottom of the compartment and ran the brake line down through the hole. more
